Are you afraid of fish?

So, Kinley, my 2 year old daughter, went fishing for the first time yesterday. Kinley has been wanting to go fishing and she and my husband went on a daddy/daughter date to buy a fishing pole a few weeks ago. She picked out a Barbie fishin pole and has been practicing in the house for a few weeks, teasing the dog is pretty fun! Yesterday was the first time she got to go fishing and she asked her grandpa to take her. My father-in-law lives on the river in Lava. Grandpa was pretty excited and my nephew who is 3 wanted to go fishing, too. So, Grandpa loaded the kids on the 4-wheeler to drive down the lane to the river. Both kids has little fishing pole and grandpa was worried the kids wouldn't catch anything. I wasn't with Kinley but grandpa says she was pretty excited and they casted and was having a good time. After a couple minutes, grandpa tried realing in Kinleys line to re-cast and what do you know...there is a fish on the line. FYI, don't use Barbie fishing poles to do any serious fishing! Her little pole was too wimpy to pull in the fish. Grandpa reeled and reeled and then Kinley reeled and reeled. Finally he pulled the line in "the old fashion way" and she had a nice little brown trout on the line. Well, once Kinley saw the fish, she turned around and ran (she takes after me!). Well, in the mean time, my nephew also had a fish on the line and his pole wouldn't reel in the fish either. He had an 8lb carp. Grandpa was pretty excited because both grandkids caught a fish. Kinley said next time she just wants to catch a little fish. I told her she can catch the fish and we will let the boys hold the fish!
